After reading about his story in the paper, Rupert visited Tony Chapman, a Harry Potter fan who lived near Rupert and had been diagnosed with leukemia.

A painting of Rupert was auctioned off to raise money for Children with disabilities:
“I’m currently filming in the HARRY POTTER Films and art is one of my many interests. My picture was inspired by my favourite style of art surrealism. I wanted to create an image that was different and unusual. Please note this picture can be viewed upside down also.”

Recorded on 7 December 2005, Rupert and his grandfather Chris played the Generation Fame Game to win money for the charity of their choice and prizes for members of the audience. Recorded on December 7, 2005 and aired on January 1, 2006 as a New Year’s Day TV Special.

Sense, March 2008

Rupert donated his Military Jacket to Sense Charity and it immediately went up on E-bay for fans to win a chance to own it! Bids that went over 1,000 pounds during its auction on Ebay, but unfortunately we discovered it was bidded on by false accounts and the auction was voided. The director of Sense spoke to us and explained the horrible incident and then came up with a better way to screen each user. Eventually it worked out and it was re-auctioned and one lucky fan managed to fork over a good amount money for it and so it was still a great success.

At Coram’s Field in central London, Rupert joined his HP co-star Tom Felton and a number of other celebrities to greet and play video games with the young patients. Rupert was seen playing games with a cute ginger boy called Keller and even joined in the festivities to have a dragon painted on his cheek.
